Disclaimer: I don't own CSI. I just make up my own fanfiction.
The Flirtation
It was a rainy night and Sara was driving home but, she decided to stop at the store before she drove her dark and lonely apartment. As she her long and sexy legs stepped out of her car , she saw Nick pumping gas. Only Nick that would be crazy enough to pump gas in the rain. They each other eyes and said a nice hello. Then, Sara went into the store and head back to the drink freezer. As she was getting a drink, a man with a mask yelled for the cashier to give him the money.
Sara at first wasn't sure if she was going to go up front and help. But, she quickly grabbed her cell phone and called 911. She easily walked up to the front and tried to ease up on the masked robber. As she came up close, the masked robber grabbed her as Nick came in the door.
Nick was in shock and he went for his gun.
As Nick was reaching for his gun, the robber explained if he doesn't put down his gun, he will kill Sara. At that point Nick felt helpless and wanted so desperately to be the heroe. He gave a quick and thorough thought that if he distracts the robber, he can get a good shot.
'' Nick: Look buddy! You don't want to shoot the girl. Take me instead.''
The robber looked at him as if this guy was nuts but replied ,'' No!''
Nick started blabbling on about something else and then detective brass came in through the back and yelled. The robber turned and Nick had a clear shot. He took that shot.
Sara was scared to death and Nick rushed to her. He grabbed her and held her. She smiled and said: '' You are feeling kinda heroic tonight. ''
Nick smiled and laughed. They stood up as brass called in for an ambulance. Nick bought Sara her soda for her and walked her to her car.
He gently said goodnight and closed her car door.
Nick got into his car and turned on the radio. He then drives off and he drives home. He gets home and Grissom calls wanting him to come in. He thought he would at least get one nights rest.
Nick started back to the lab after he got off with the bugman where he finds Sara standing outside mad as hell. He pulls in the parking lot and parks anxiously. Then he gets out of his SUV and goes to Sara to see what was wrong.
'' Nick:'' What's wrong?''
''Sara: '' What's wrong? What's wrong?''( She gasps for breath and clinches her fists.) Grissom is what's wrong! He gave me the night off because I got an atitude with Catherine.''
'' Nick:'' Sara! Sara! Just calm down! First of all, you need to cool your temper cause that temper can cause more trouble than you want it to.''
''Sara:'' Catherine demanded to be on the Abraham's case when I was the one processing and on the lead. Just because she knows the family, she gets special treatment cause she kisses Grissom's butt.''
'' Nick: Well Sweetpea, she'll screw up on the case cause she is close to the family. And when she does, you will have a chance at it.''
'' Sara:'' Did you just flirt with me?''
'' Nick: What makes you think that.''(Gives a sexy smirk.)
'' Sara: You just called me sweetpea.''
'' Nick:'' Oh! I did, Sorry.'' (Cracks a cute laugh )
Just chill out and just let it play out. Meantime you can help me with the Dodger's case.''
'' Sara: You want me bad!''
'' Nick: Now who's doing the flirting?''
Nick and Sara got into Nick's SUV and drove off to the crime scene. On the way to the crime scene, Sara decided to ask Nick a question but didn't. She lost her nerve on that try. Nick all of sudden started singing to that country western music. Sara bursts into laughter. He is wondering what the devil is she laughing at. He asked her.
'' Nick: What are you laughing at sweetpea?''
'' Sara: You!''
'' Nick: Me?'' What's so funny about me?''
'' Sara: First of all , don't call me sweetpea.... It is your singing.''
'' Nick: My singing?'' I have a gorgeous voice.(Being sarcasticly funny.)
'' Sara: No you don't Nick.( She keeps on laughing as they drove on.)
Nick made a turn on Watts Street and at the fourth house on the sidewalk is the dead body of Mr. Dodger.
Nick pulled over and shut the SUV off. Nick and Sara both got out. They grabbed their cases. They went and examined the scene. Sara was bedzazzled by the man not wearing any clothes. Nick just wanted to look the other way. He didn't want to see a naked man's body on the side walk.
He is more of a ladies man even though he hasn't caught the right girl. But, he will soon in Sara.
'' Sara: So, blood force trauma to the head and his thingy is cut off.''
'' Nick: '' d**n! I definetly don't want to piss off no woman who would cut my wee wee off.''
'' Sara: Or man.''(Sara laughs.)
'' Nick: Hey now ! Take that back.'''
They took pictures and collect evidence before David got the body.
'' David: Oh man! Is that his thingy laying over there on the ground?''
'' Nick: Hush David... Let's just not yell it out okay.''
'' Sara: Well everybody knows by now anyway. We probably have a whole neighborhood of suspects according to brass. ''
The whole block is filled with single women and only one married couple.''
Nick:'' Ouch!!!'''
Nick and Sara finished collectin the evidence as they started to go door to door. Nick started flirting a little and Sara threathened to cut something off.
Nick just gave a shocking look at her and just smiled that sexy smile of his. Sara actually was having an fun and flirtation time with Nick. She thought to herself. '' I could actually be inlove with Nick. He's single, gorgeous, and he actually has emotions.''
She gave him a glare as they walked to one of the neighbor's door. As they got to the neighbor's door, she was already coming out of the door. Look as if she was going somewhere. She was a short latina woman with short hair. She looked surprised to see the two criminalist at her door step. She asked them: '' May I help you?''
'' Nick: Ma'am, do you know this man?''
Latina lady:'' Yes, I do. He is Mr. Dodger.'' Why?''
'' Sara: '' He was found murdered on the side walk in front of his house with his thingy cut off. We are here to question the neighborhood.''
The Latina Lady: '' I don't know who did it.'' I didn't see anything at all.''
'' Sara:'' Are you sure?''
'' The Latina Lady:'' I am sure. Am I a suspect?''
'' Nick:'' We have to put everybody in this neighborhood as a suspect. As reported, there are single women who had affair with Mr. Dodger and he is married.'' Even his wife is a suspect.''
'' The Latina Lady: '' I honetly don't know.'' I don't see much of the Dodgers.''
'' Sara: '' Okay Ma'am. We will be back though.''
The latina lady walked off and got into her car. Nick and Sara started walking to the other houses.
They interviewed every single woman in that neighborhood. They was thinking maybe he was having an affair with a woman that he worked with. So, they decided to drive to his work place at the hospital. He was an administrator there.
Grissom called while Nick and Sara was on their way to the hospital. Sara suddenly got very angry. She didn't want to hear his name. Nick started thinking that Sara may not be over him, but the way she was acting, he knew that she was. She still had some feelings for him but not enough to keep the flame for him going. Nick was determined to win Sara's heart in some way shape or form.
'' Nick:'' Yeah Gris!''
'' Grissom:'' What have you and Sara got?''
'' Nick: Nothing from the neighborhood single ladies that for sure.''
'' Grissom:'' So, what did you get?''
'' Nick:'' Mr. Doger may have been having an affair with another woman at his work place at the hospital. We are headed to the hospital now.''
'' Grissom:'' Ok, good!. But, try to hurry up with the case along. We need you back here at the lab. Ecklie has gathered up an meeting of some kind.''
'' Nick:'' We'll try.''
As Nick hung up the cell phone, Sara gave him a nasty look.
'' Nick'' What was that look for?''
'' Sara:'' Let me guess, Catherine cracked the case.''
'' Nick:'' Now!!! Ecklie has gathered up a meeting of some kind and Grissom wants us to try to finish up the case.''
''' Sara:'' Oh, right.''
Nick and Sara got to the hospital and his cell phone rung again. This time it was Ecklie. Nick wasn't too please by the look on his face.''
'' Nick:'' Hello!''
'' Ecklie:'' You and Sara get back to the lab.
'' Nick:'' Do what?'' We haven't even finished the case.!!!!''
'' Ecklie:'' so, I will have the day shift finish but right now this is important.''
'' Nick:'' We're on out way.''
Nick slammed his cell phone down.''
'' Sara:'' What now darling?''
'' Nick:'' We have to go to the lab now as Ecklie has ordered.''
'' Sara:'' But, Gris said after the case.'' Ecklie is going to give this case to the day shift.''
'' Nick:'' Yep''. Hey did you just call me darling?'' honeyQ''
'' Sara:{ laughs and acts like she don't know what he is talking about.) '' Who me?'' I wouldn't do that.'' I don't know what you're talking about.''
'' Nick:'' uh huh oh!... If you say so.''
They kept having a slight flirtatious spat back to the lab.

The Flirtation Becomes Into Love
Nick and Sara arrived back at the Crime Lab . They got out of the SUV and went inside. They walked down the long hallway of CSI, spatting at each other as if they was falling inlove for the first time without realizing it first. The team was starting to find out and Grissom puzzled by it. He knew he lost his chances. Nick and Sara walked in the conference room smirking at each other and joking around. Ecklie seemed very bother by it cause he has no sense of humor.
'' Sara: '' So, why are you calling this conference Ecklie?'' That you had to take us off our case and replace us with the day shift?''
'' Ecklie:'' First of all, don't get an atitude or I will send you out that door.''
I brought the team together because the Mayor has been murdered and it is our top priority to find out who, when, how, and why. The media is going to be all over this case. So, I suggest you guys do your jobs thoroughly.''
'' Grissom: Any leads?''
'' Ecklie: '' No, that's why I called the meeting.''' The Governor is going to be looking over our shoulders.''
Nick and Sara was off in space playing around. More like whispering in each other's ears betting that Grissom will beat Ecklie at this case.
Ecklie couldn't take the smirkering between them.
Ecklie:'' Is there anything wrong Sara and Nick that you would like to share with us?''
'' Nick:'' No, not really.''' It is funny on how you would like to pull us together again since you were the one who split the team up. And you didn't do much help in helping the team rescue me.''
'' Ecklie:'' This is not up for debate Nick. We are going to crack this case. So you all go out and get who ever who did this.''
The team got up and look at each other. Catherine was wondering what was going on between Sara and Nick.
Sara and Nick walked down the CSI hallway and Sara stopped all of a sudden. Nick wondered why did she stop. Sara told Nick wait a minute.
'' Sara: Look, what is this flirting you got going on with me?''
'' Nick:'' As I recall you are flirting with me much as I am with you baby.''
'' Sara: Stop calling me these love names. Nick I like you as a friend , but it can't go any further.(She was denying her true feelings from him. '')
Nick:'' Ok, whatever!(He smirked as if he knew she was just in denial.) He walked off from her leaving her calling his name.
'' Sara:'' Nick!! Come back here.. I am not finished talking.''
Nick smiled and walked on off. He knew that she is falling in love with him... He walked down the hall until he came to the exit to go get into the SUV. He was going to follow Warrick to the Crime Scene.
He sees Warrick getting into his car and he stopped him.
'' Nick: Warrick, hey man wait! I will partner up with ya.''
'' Warrick: Alright but hurry up before I leave your love sick self.''
'' nick: What is that suppose to mean?''
'' Warrick:'' you know.. You and Sara.'' Everyone knows you two have been flirting with each other this past month.''
'' Nick:'' Guess no one can not hide anything around here.''
They drove off while talking.. Meanwhile back at the lab Sara got stopped by Greg. Greg started picking on her about her and Nick. But, Catherine called her to come with her.

Warrick dropped Nick off after they gathered evidence from the Mayor's crime scene. Nick was walking to his car and Sara was waiting for him. '' We need to talk Nick.'' Nick was in amazement for a second.'' Ok, what's up?'' Sara knew she couldn't tell him her true feelings. She hide them and started saying.'' We got to control ourselves better. You mean, we're only friends.'' Nick became broken hearted and he replied.'' You can't tell me there's nothing going on between us. He puts his soft gentle hands on her beautiful face and replied.'' Look in my eyes and tell me that you don't feel anything. I can see it in your eyes each time we talk.'' Sara wanted so much to jerk him up and kiss him but she couldn't. '' Nick, we can't get involved. We will end up loosing each other.'' Nick knew she was hiding her feelings. '' How do you know if we don't try?'' I love you Sara!'' Sara felt the same way. She always have been inlove with Nick. She thought she was inlove with Grissom but she needed more of a father figure in him.'' Nick, we can't. As she was trying to say something, Nick grabs her and embraces her with a passionate kiss. He held her like no other man could have. Sara was drawn in by his kiss. '' Nick, she started to say. Nick answered:'' Nick: Yeah! Sara replied'' Okay! Okay!'' Then it starts raining on them. Nick grabbed his coat and put it over Sara's head. He ran with her to her car. Sara stops and yells back at him.'' I love you. I have always loved you. From the time I thought I was inlove with Grissom.'' I don't know what to do with these feelings Nick. It is scaring me to hell.'' Nick holds her and replies.'' I know! I am scared to but I can't just be friends with you. I want more. You are my heart Sara! Give us a chance. I promise I won't break your heart or make you cry. If I do make you cry, it will be tears of joy running down those beautiful green eyes of yours. Sara starts crying and ask Nick to come home with her. '' I don't want to be alone right now Nick. I want you with me.'' Nick opens her car door for her and he then goes around and gets in her car. Sara then asks.'' What about your car?'' Nick smiles and says, '' Don't worry, I will come back and get it tomrrow.'' They drove off into the night.
Sara and Nick got to her apartment. She could hardly open the door because of Nick kissing on her small and skinny neck. '' Nick, I got to open the door.'' Nick: I can't help it, I want you.'' Sara giggled and opened the door and they both fell in the door on top of each other. Nick looked into her eyes and got up. He then picks her up and carries her into her bedroom. They begin to take each other clothes off but Sara says, '' I want this to be perfect. Nick replies,'' It is perfect'' He kisses her all the way down. Then they begin to make love all night. They finally found love within each other. Sara felt safe for the very first time.
Morning came and Nick was in the kitchen cooking breakfast. Sara walks in with a bathrobe around her. She was in amazement that she saw Nick cooking her breakfast when it should be her.'' Nick, what are you doing?''
'' Nick: Hey peanut! I thought I would make the most beautiful woman in the world breakfast.'' Sara just gazed at him and smiled. She found her true love. '' I was going to cook your breakfast.'' They had one of their love spats and they started kissing. The phone rang and they regretted answering it. It was Grissom with some leads on the Mayor's death. '' Hello.'' Grissom says.'' Where's Nicky?'' Sara replies, well hello to you to. and giggles when Nick kisses her on her nick and whispers I love you butter cup. Grissom then knew where he was. ''I need you two back here at the lab. We got some leads and then not some. '' Sara grunted and replied.'' Okay be there in twenty minutes.
It was more than twenty minutes because they couldn't stop fooling around. Nick finally let her go so they could get dressed. Sara gave him a beautiful gaze. Nick replied,'' What?'' Sara says,'' Nothing.'' They both got ready and left for the lab. Grissom was mad at them two for being more than twenty minutes late. But, he blew it off. He finally get rid of Sara pinning over him. He was relieved. Catherine and Warrick was walking down the lab hallway and bumped into the love birds who couldn't stop kissing. Warrick looks at Catherine.'' Bam! '' Catherine laughs and replies,'' Down boy!'' Now we know there's something going on. Warrick just shook his head and said,'' I wonder how long that went on?'' Catherine nodded her head and said.'' I don't know Bling. I don't know. But, it had to be a while though.''
Grissom was talking about what he had found out, Nick and Sara was looking at each other. Grissom kind of got upset and said.'' Do you two want pink slips or green slips?'' They both replied,'' Neither. Sorry.'' Grissom went back explaining. After he was through, he told them that he is happy for them. They was shocked to hear that from the bugman. Sara and Nick went out of the conference room where they bump into Warrick. They all went out to question the suspects. They knew it was going to be a long day. By lunch time came around, Warrick suggested that they get a small bite to eat. '' Nick replied:'' That would be nice. As he was looking at Sara. '' Yeah, that would be nice Sara said.'' So, they all went even Catherine by Warrick's side. Nick picked on Warrick as he picked on him about Sara. '' So, you and Catherine aye?'' Warrick looks suspiously at him and says,'' What makes you think that?'' As he whispers to Nick. "' Man, it is obvious, you two are almost holding hands.'' Warrick just tells Nick to zip it.
As they was eating lunch, Nick wanted to look at the jewelry. Warrick thought Nick done lost his mind. '' Look, man! I love Sara and she is the one for me. I want to marry her. Warrick was concerned about his best friend and said,'' Are you sure man?'' Nick looked at him seriously and said,'' Yes!'' He told the clerk salesman that he wanted that small rounded engagement ring. Nick bought it as Sara came along and ask what did Nick got behind his back. '' What makes you think that I have something behind my back?'' Sara laughed and said,'' Because your hand is behind your cute bum of yours, that's why.'' Warrick walked off cause he couldn't take much more of this lovey dovy mess. Sara tried to looking behind Nick's back. But, as she tried the whole team gathered to see what was going on. Nick got frustrated and got down on one knee to Sara. Sara was wondering why he was getting on one knee and she asks Nick,'' Nick, what are you doing? Get up!'' Nick wouldn't get up. He started tellign her,'' I love you Sara Sidle and I have from the beginning that I met you.'' Will you marry me?'' Sara was in shocked and didn't know what to say. She started crying. Catherine was rootin for her to tell him yes.
Sara held out her left hand and said,'' Yes, I will marry you Nick Stokes.'' He was so thrilled that he grabbed her up and started swinging her. He yelled out to everyone in the store.'' She said YES!!!'' They shared a pasionate kiss. Catherine nudged Warrick and asked him,'' When do I get a ring?'' Warrick laughs and says,'' When I get rich.'' Catherine smacked him on his strong arm. Grissom was the first one to congratute them.
After that little love moment they went back to the lab to crack the case. It took them two days to finish the case. Find out that the sherriff had killed the Mayor because the Mayor was black mailing the sherriff. They all sat down and discussed it. After they discussed it, Catherine asks,'' So, when will the big day will be?'' Sara replied,'' I can't wait, I waited all my life for this man.'' Nick said,'' We want to get married this weekend.''
The team was excited for them.
A week went by and they was still happily inlove. So, when Saturday came along, Sara was so nervous and she asked Nick did he mind Grissom walk her down the aisle. Nick didn't mind cause he knew he had Sara's heart.
They got married and they had their honeymoon in Hawaii. Sara was so beautiful in that nightie of hers. They had the most perfect life now....
